Ocean Basket

Always been wanting to have fresh and good seafood in Qatar and Ocean Basket is my go-to restaurant for it. I’ve recommended this to my friends as well and they loved it. The price was good, the platters were perfection. The staff was splendid especially Mr. Samir/Sameer who was our server for our past dining experiences and his recommendations were great. Thank you!

Had a fantastic dining experience at Ocean Basket. We ordered the Royal Platter and the Tempura Rock Shrimp Sushi and everything was absolutely delicious. Only 199QAR , and it’s more than enough for two or even three people to share! Perfect for seafood lovers who want to enjoy a variety of flavours. Special shoutout to our server "Lovely "she was incredibly friendly, attentive, and accommodating with all our requests. Her service really made our visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommended if you're looking for tasty seafood, great value, and warm hospitality. Will definitely be coming back!

I had ocean basket way back in Saudi Arabia and it was always our go to when we crave for seafood thus this made me happy that they already have it in Mall of Qatar. Ambiance itself is welcoming good and for different genre of people like for group or a solo eater.. I'd like to commend Lovely, she has the power of foresight and Attentivenes knows exactly what you need without asking.

We had a great dinner at Ocean Basket as we wanted to check out this place for quite a well. I have to say it was worth the wait! Fish was grilled to perfection! My family and I enjoyed the seafood dining in, and will be back again. This is now one of my favourite places in all of Doha.

The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive, and our server offered great recommendations. As a fish-focused restaurant, Ocean Basket truly delivers. The seafood tasted incredibly fresh and was cooked to perfection — flaky, moist, and full of flavor. Highlights included the grilled fish fillet with a zesty lemon butter sauce and the seafood platter, which showcased a generous variety and excellent portion sizes. The sides complemented the mains wonderfully: crisp, seasoned chips, a vibrant mixed salad. Presentation was attractive and family-style options made it easy to share. The beverage selection paired well with the menu, and the desserts provided a satisfying finish without being overly heavy. Prices felt fair for the quality and portions served. The restaurant had a cozy and warm ambiance, with beautiful lighting and a pleasant atmosphere. I ordered the Aromatic Seafood Curry as my main dish — it was flavorful and nicely presented. However, I didn’t like that the fish was served with the skin on, and it was slightly too salty for my taste. Other than that, it was a nice overall experience, and the service was good.

We enjoyed our visit to Ocean Basket — the food was tasty, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, service was good, and everything we ordered met our expectations. However, the place felt quite small and overcrowded, and it was very hot inside. The strong seafood smell was overwhelming, and unfortunately, it stuck to our clothes after we left. A bit more ventilation would really improve the dining experience
